Supernova 1987A remnant’s appearance has baffled astronomers for decades. One side is brighter than the other. At the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research's (ICRAR), Dr. Toby Potter developed a 3D simulation of the expanding shockwave to "shine a light' on the puzzle.
