Doug – here’s a couple of questions to ask if you happen to get the chance at the next of these NTSB press conferences:
– Does the feather-lock lever physically lock the tailbooms against rotating, is it a control-lockout that disables the feather-actuate lever, or both?
– Was the tailboom rotation “feathering” that occurred after the feather-lock was unlocked caused by power to the tailboom-rotation actuators, or by external aerodynamic forces?
