Spaceport America Hires First Marketing Director

SPACEPORT AMERICA, NM (NMSA PR) – Spaceport America CEO Christine Anderson announced today that Tammara Anderton will become the spaceport’s first Director of Marketing. Anderton brings over 25 years of experience in international brand strategy and marketing communication. Anderton has extensive multi-stakeholder engagement experience spanning the biotechnology, energy, healthcare, mobile and wireless, environmental, financial services, and non-profit sectors. She held international executive management positions with Saatchi Saatchi, OTM Brand, Unaxis, and CellTrust.


“We are very excited to add a world-class business-to-business brand Strategist like Tammara to our spaceport team,” said Christine Anderson. “She will play a critical roll in marketing the Spaceport America brand across the U.S. and around the world as the spaceport becomes fully operational.”


As director of marketing, Anderton will be responsible for the spaceport’s overall brand management, marketing for new commercial space customer development, the Spaceport America Visitor Experience, corporate sponsoring and expanded use of the spaceport for commercial events, advertising, movie, and television projects. These areas of her responsibilities are key to the diversified, long-term revenue growth of spaceport.


Tammara was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and attended school there through junior high prior to moving to Arizona and then later Europe, where she finished her education in the Euro-Asian marketing program at INSEAD, one of world’s leading and largest graduate business schools.
